I wouldn't say that I can tell when it's put on, Miss, but there are certainly images that speak to me more than others about people I don't otherwise know.
The photo you describe, of someone in business attire holding an implement, is probably the single most likely to catch my eye. I think that's because they focus so much on my biggest kink; authority and punishment. When I see photos like that, I very often go off to see what she has to say on her website, and daydream about what it might be like to session with her.
Respectfully,
Étienne

Dear MissToriD,
Hard to say. A pic of the Mistress all alone can already be appealing. A pic with Mistress and slave also. I guess it's in the details one has got an eye for. For example: a very long time ago, my eye fell on a pic of a Mistress which showed a little tattoo on Her shoulder blade. My attention was there and I've served Her for almost a year.
Humble regards slave of Mistress Shane

So, what part of a photo makes someone look like the real deal? Dear Miss ToriD, With all due respect ... To me, a "real deal" photograph is a visual depiction of a Domme with some type of BDSM accessory or scene equipment. In other words ... Such a photograph might show a Domme who is holding (or using) scene accessories, such as a strap, paddle, cane, etc. In so doing, the Domme conveys an *immediate visual image* that she is a real force with whom to be reckoned! Similarly, and depending on the Dominant Lady's BDSM interests and specialties ... It's also useful to show some type of *easily recognizable scene* in the background of the photograph. For instance, if the Dominant Lady enjoys traditional Domestic Discipline, it's nice to see a background featuring a DD theme, such as a classroom. If the Domme specializes in heavy bondage, it's nice to see a background featuring a dungeon scene, such as a St. Andrew's Cross or multiple overhead restraints. As always, thank you very much for your time! :-) Cheers and Very Respectfully, surferdoc

I hear Ya! I think it's good to showcase the feel You have for the role, and even with all the go to poses that are traditional for Dommes to have in photos, I look for 3 simple things: The eyes The attire The equipment I have had complaints from some people stating that they didn't like My photos because I don't have the photos of showing Myself full swing to someone's already blistering backside, or someone bound up and pissed on. I am not for the "session action shots" so much, as I like the feel, the projection of who I am and what I love, to showcase more. That is why I look at the eyes. The eyes never lie. I love Your photos Miss Tori! The really capture You and shows that wicked aspect of Your mind and life! Switch Lydia

Miss Tori,
I absolutely love the photo's of yourself that you've chosen.
They advertise your interest in the "Domestic Discipline" scene quite well. My personal play preferences are not exclusively "business attire" centered. An everyday skirt and top are great. Jeans and a t-shirt are good, for that matter.
I enjoy looking at the woman in photo's. Exclusively. But that's just my personal preference.
My favorite is that the outfit seem like something one might see a woman wearing in an everyday situation.
That said, a suggestion:
1] Wearing a skirt and sweater, arms crossed in front of you, one hand holding a paddle, wearing that devilish grin you have.
Have to go to work now.
Sven.
